Android Device Coverage Matrix

Hi All,

Considering the different versions of OS released by Android 2.2, 2.3 so on ..

and Screen resolutions, different OEM's 

How do you arrive at Android Device Coverage Matrix ?

Anyone who has arrived at the same ??

    After extensive market research we arrived at below list, this devices will give you ~90% coverage, almost all popular screen sizes, resolutions, aspect ratios and OEMs are covered

    First - details what market you are aiming for - this will let you focus your device matrix.

    Is it a App or mobile web content ...this is the biggest factor.

    There are plenty of sites you can google to get stats on what phones are popular in what markets .

    Aim for the top 20 . Do these well and that's 90% of your market covered . Aim to cover anymore and you do so at the cost of your 90% market share .

    Ad mob used to do a great report on what devices were tracking in what markets but since it was bought by google it doesnt publish it anymore. 

    So - the answer to your question in two lines

    Identify market , google device usage - pick top 20.
